Here at David Healey Solicitors we take great pride in taking care of all your workers compensation, personal injury and medical negligence matters.
Our firm was founded on our expertise in these areas especially in Comcare and EML matters where we have been able to achieve great outcomes for our clients across a number of years. We provide a caring and family friendly environment in order to make our clients feel safe, respected and heard.

Meet the team
David Healey
David practices primarily in Commonwealth and Australian Capital Territory Compensation Law. He has established an excellent network of Barristers and Specialists to assist with this complex area of law to achieve the maximum result for the client. He has a strong practice in assisting government workers, including police, ambulance and fire and rescue workers, with their EML and Comcare matters and helping them realise their next chapter. He has a passion for human rights where he has successfully fought for those that have been discriminated against in the workplace. David is dedicated to achieving a fair and equitable outcome for those who are injured as a result of their employment with the Commonwealth, ACT Government and private sector. He is admitted to practice in the Australian Capital Territory as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of the ACT and the High Court of Australia. David is also a Reservist Legal Officer in the Australian Defence Force where he is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Legal Corp helping defence in a variety of capacities. David loves inspiring young minds through his work as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra Law School and at the ANU. David is also a volunteer for a number of agencies and enjoys helping the less fortunate through his work on the streets of Queanbeyan and Canberra.
Caitlin Barlow
Caitlin is the Executive Assistant to David Healey. She is detail-oriented and organised, and prioritises providing personalised and timely support to David as well as the rest of the David Healey Solicitors team. Caitlin is currently completing her studies at the University of Canberra and is bringing her expertise in facilitating growth and development for our team.
Anthea Healey
Anthea is the joint owner of the practice and brings with her a career as a former police officer along with a business degree which assists in the running of the practice and future needs of expansion. She is a dedicated person and much loved by all that meet her due to her kind and caring nature.
Siang Jin Law
Jin is an Associate at David Healey Solicitors. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the Australian National University. During her time at David Healey Solicitors, Jin has worked extensively in civil matters including workers’ compensation, personal injury law, and human rights law. Jin is passionate about using the law for positive change and justice, and is determined to do so by achieving the best outcome for her clients.
Gisele Li
Gisele is a Solicitor who holds a Bachelor of International Relations and a Juris Doctor degree from the Australian National University. Prior to joining the firm, Gisele has previously worked for community legal centres, boutique law firms and international human rights organisations. Gisele is an Accredited Mental Health First Aider who has an extensive experience of working with marginalised and systemically disadvantaged communities. Gisele applies a trauma-informed approach in her day-to-day interactions with clients. Gisele is committed to assisting frontline workers and first responders. Outside the office, Gisele works and volunteers for multiple not-for-profit organisations.
Angie Seymour
Angie joined David Healey Solicitors as a civil paralegal in 2021 and is due to graduate with her Law degree from the ANU in 2023. She prioritises organisation and clear communication with clients, to ensure that all clients feel informed and know that every care is being taken to achieve the best outcome. Angie assists the Civil Lawyers in advocating fiercely for their clients and has a particular interest in advocating for womens’ rights in the workplace.
Lily Pederick
Lily is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the ANU and is due to graduate in 2025. Lily works collaboratively with our team of lawyers as a civil paralegal, assisting with workers’ compensation and medical negligence matters. With a background in finance and estate management, Lily is committed to ensuring that our clients enjoy a professional and personable experience.
Finn McCredie
Finn is studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in French and Economics) at the ANU and plans to graduate in 2025. He joined our team as a Civil Paralegal in 2024 to assist in workers’ compensation matters. With previous experience as an economics writer for education and technology companies, Finn brings a dedicated focus to drafting documents and effectively communicating with clients. Finn is passionate about legal theory and competition law, and has studied in both French and Australian jurisdictions.
Tabitha McDonald
Tabitha is studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (History Major) at the ANU and plans to graduate in 2025. Tabitha has previously worked for the ANU in student community and wellbeing, and joined our team as a Civil Paralegal to assist in workers’ compensation matters. Tabitha is a content editor of the ANU Law Society Magazine, and is passionate about barriers to accessing the law and legal expression.
Will Cassell
Will is studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Pacific Studies at the ANU and plans to graduate in 2027. After interning for Dr Sophie Scamps MP, he joined our team as a Civil Paralegal to assist in workers’ compensation matters. Building on his experience in writing and on political campaigns, he strives to contribute to a more just world through his work. Will is committed to working passionately for clients to ensure that they have access to the justice they deserve.
Odin Healey
Odin is the team commander of David Healey Solicitors and is always up for a pat. Despite his tough looks, he is a puppy at heart and has the cheeky attitude that brightens up our office.
